Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

In a global world, having documentation in multiple languages is key to many companies' success. Technical writers are often tasked with coordinating the translation of a given text and there are steps that technical writers should take to ensure an accurate and successful translation of the text. In this session we will review the terms internationalization, translation, and globalization as well as the standard processes involved. We will cover machine translation and computer assisted translation tools and also learn how to avoid English writing conventions that make translation more difficult, using examples that the group can adjust together.
